Who We Are
Centered on Jesus
Over and above any personal convictions, theological systems, or distinctives, we are people who are centred on the person, the life, the gospel, and the hope of Jesus. We practice bringing our whole selves (questions, hopes and stories) to the Bible and to one another, putting Jesus at the center of our lives.
Church as Family
We place a major emphasis on relationships - knowing and being known in the family of God. Our Sunday Gatherings are an important family rhythm, but most people in our church are also in a weekly Community Group and are actively serving and using their gifts within the church family. We practice generous hospitality, we emphasize and make space for spiritual friendship, and we host community events including Day Camp, camping trips, post-church lunches, delivering meals, and more.
We are a diverse community of about 150 people primarily living in Vancouver, Burnaby, New West, and Richmond - we encourage our church members to be close enough that distance isn’t a hindrance to community. In this season of our church life, we have been blessed with many young families, a deaf and hard of hearing community, youth group, and a growing diversity of backgrounds, cultures, and journeys.
For The City
We orient people to see themselves as “citizens of heaven” in the city of Vancouver. (Philippians 1:23). We support, partner with, and participate in ministries that faithfully witness to Jesus and encourage each of our people to practice hospitality as a means of invitation.
On Mission
We view our Sunday Gathering as practice for being ministered to by God and ministering to each other so that we can learn to be present in our homes and communities as ministers. We actively pray, serve and share with our neighbours, family, friends and co-workers.
